WoW Upgrades - The item level upgrade Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a greater value for trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item Level Upgrade used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items which can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.

Many locations have upgraders for Item Level Upgrade their items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead, the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through various methods, which is both an improvement and a drawback.

Crests

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item upgrade is at the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they are only used for one purpose. It's Best item upgrader to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
