WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it is not required by nature (like FB sorc shields) or a high stat variance (like eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of weapon or armor. However, the item level upgrade (official site) that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially relevant for rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with top-quality equipment.
